Geometry Formulas

Hello Parents,
I wanted to post the geometry formulas to help with review. The formulas have been more difficult for the students to memorize. I plan on reviewing in class through state testing, but thought they should be posted for your reference and use. Thank you and have a great day!
Mrs. Alvarado

Perimeter - P = 2l + 2w OR add all of the sides together to find the total distance around

Area of a Rectangle - A = l x w     (length x width)

Area of a Parallelogram - A = b x h      (base x height)
Area of a Triangle - A = 1/2bh     (base x height divided by 2)
Volume - V = l x w x h       (length x width x height)
                      "Vultures Love Wearing Hats"
Surface Area - S = 2lw + 2lh + 2wh
