Last Week of School

Hello Parents,

I hope all of you are enjoying the weekend! The last week of school is upon us an and we have many fun activities planned. Please read on for important announcements:

1. MONDAY 5/23 - 5th Grade Field Day - We are going to wrap up our fun and fitness year with a morning field day. Please have your child bring their PE clothes to school tomorrow with appropriate athletic shoes

2. TUESDAY 5/24 - Canvas Party/Movie - We are looking forward to our canvas party to celebrate art and the wonderful year that we've had! A movie permission slip for Disney's A Wrinkle in Time was sent home in an email. Please print, sign, and return by this Tuesday.

3. WEDNESDAY 5/25 - FRIDAY 5/27 - Minimum Days - Elementary release time is at 12:20pm

4. WEDNESDAY 5/25 - Blankets and Board Games - Students may bring board games and blankets/small pillows to school. Please have blankets/pillows arrive in a bag, such as a kitchen trash bag. No stuffed animals.

5. THURDAY 5/26 - Honor Roll Assembly - 11:30am in the ampitheater. If the location changes, I will make sure to follow up with an email.

6. FRIDAY 5/27 - Last Day of School/Spirit Day/Clap Out - For our last day of school, the fifth graders have voted on a 50's day. Students may come dressed in their favorite 50's outfits! Poodle skirts, jeans, and white t-shirts. They should have fun with it! The 5th grade clap-out will be at the end of the day as the students make their way to the front gate. If you would like to come and see your fifth grader take their last walk out of elementary school, please be prepared to arrive early to line up.

Upcoming Events

Hello Parents,

I hope all of you are enjoying your weekend! Please read on for important announcements:

1. Caine's Arcade - Tuesday, May 17- Red and white track have put together a fundraiser to help the Menifee Valley Community Cupboard. Students worked hard to design arcade games for the school to enjoy. The cost of each game is $0.01 and all proceeds will be donated. If students are unable to bring in money, they will still be allowed to play the games and participate. This is a wonderful fundraising opportunity!

2. Character Assembly - Wednesday, May 18 - Formal dress required

3. K-5 Talent Show - Friday, May 20 - Students K-5 will be attending the elementary talent show. Please have your child wear their white or tan polo shirts (to help with the heat). We encourage that your child wear sunscreen, bring a bottled water, and hats will be permitted on that day.
