Picture Day

Hello Parents,

This is a reminder that tomorrow is picture day. Students will need to come to school in formal dress:

Girls - White button-up, blue slacks, belt, OR white button up & a 

            plaid skirt.

Boys - White button-up, blue slacks, belt, and a Navy blue or 
            Dennis plaid tie.

*Students may not wear khaki pants, polos, shorts, or tan skirts.*

I hope all of you are having a great week. This coming week we have a busy schedule. Please read below for a list of events:

1. Tuesday, August 25 - Picture Day

    Formal dress is required. Order forms will be sent out the week

    after pictures are taken.

2. Wednesday, August 26 - Character Assembly

    Grades 3-5 - 8:45am

    Formal dress is required

3. Thursday, August 27 - Back to School Night

    Time: 5-6pm (Elementary)

4. Friday, August 28 - Minimum Day

     Release Time: 12:20pm

     Crazy Sock and Shoe Day - $1 Donation to benefit HS 

     Engineering

Novel Studies

Hello Parents,
This year we will begin the semester reading the Sign of the Beaver (August 17). You can find the list of novels that we will be reading throughout the year on our supplies list. Unfortunately, we do not have classroom sets that can cover all of the fifth grade classes. We are asking that you acquire the novels through libraries, book stores like Barnes and Nobles, or even Amazon. I personally find that Amazon.com has very cheap and reasonable prices. They also have quick delivery. I will send reminder emails prior to beginning a new novel. Please email me if you have a difficult time. I will do whatever I can to help.
